Privacy Policy

The following privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) outlines the types of personal information that ThankView, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects when operating services through our website and related mobile application (collectively, the “Site” or “ThankView”).

How You Accept This Policy

When you visit or use ThankView, sign up for a ThankView account, or otherwise provide us with any information about yourself or your entity, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy on your own behalf, and if you sign up on behalf of a third-party (such as your company, your employer, etc.), then you also agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy on behalf of that third-party.

What Information Do We Collect?

In order for you to use our Site and in order for us to provide the ThankView services, we need to collect some information from you at various points along the way. The information we collect from you falls into two categories: personally identifiable information (i.e., data that could potentially identify you as an individual) ("Personal Information") and non-personally identifiable information (i.e., information that cannot be used to identify who you are) ("Non-Personal Information"). This Privacy Policy covers both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information and will tell you how we might collect and use each of these types of information.

We may collect a variety of Personal Information, including, but not limited to:

  • Your first and last name and email address when you register for a ThankView account or update your profile (either an individual account or business account);
  • Your email address if you sign up for our mailing list to receive news about ThankView and special offers;
  • Credit card information (although we use a third party payment processor, as described below), billing address, and shipping address if you subscribe to ThankView; and
  • Other information requested from or by Third Party Services (defined below) that you explicitly give us access to.
  • First and last name, and email address for your contacts.

We may also collect a variety of Non-Personal Information, including, but not limited to:

  • De-identified information, including specific message information shared on the platform, including, but not limited to: the date of your messages, how the messages were shared, and the amount of messages you sent; and
  • Various analytics data including, but not limited to: (i) the IP address of the computer you use to access the Site; (ii) the type of browser software you are using; (iii) the operating system you are using; (iv) the date and time you access or use the Site; (v) the website address, if any, that linked you to the Site; (vi) the website address, if any, you travel to after leaving our website; and (vii) other non-personally identifiable traffic data.

Your election to not provide any of the foregoing Personal Information and Non-Personal Information may hinder your ability to use our Site or may make it impossible for you to use our Site.

How We Collect Information

When You Provide Us With Information to Make a Purchase

If you purchase Services (as defined in our Terms and Conditions) to send Video Greeting Cards, we may request certain Personal Information in order to complete your purchase. This may include, but is not limited to contact information such as your name, email address, and physical address. We also collect information about the recipients of your ThankViews, such as their names and email addresses.

We, or companies that provide services on our behalf, may also collect certain financial information from you, such as your payment method (this may include valid credit card number, type, expiration date, or other financial information needed to process payment). By making a purchase through ThankView, you give us consent to use and share your financial information as necessary to process the transaction.

Information We Automatically Collect

Like most websites, ThankView incorporates technology such as "pixel tags," "web beacons," and "cookies." Pixel tags or web beacons are tracking devices on websites or in emails that can monitor the behavior of the user visiting the website or sending the email. Cookies are small files that web servers may place on your computer when you visit a website.

We use cookies to help identify and track usage of our Site and to make it easier to deliver a personalized experience. You can easily refuse our cookies by adjusting your preference in your browser. However, be forewarned that disabling cookies may cause the Site to not operate properly, and your election to refuse or limit cookies is done at your own risk.

In order to improve and grow ThankView, we also use analytics tools, including, but not limited to Google Analytics, to automatically collect information about user and visitor Site usage (collectively “Analytics Tools”). These Analytics Tools collect data such as how often you visit ThankView, what areas of the Site you visit, and what other sites or services you used prior to using ThankView.

Analytics Tools don’t operate in the same way. For example, Google Analytics only collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit ThankView, not your name or other identifying information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your computer to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. As of right now, we only use the information we get from Analytics Tools to improve our Site and do not combine the information collected through the use of Analytics Tools with Personal Information.

Please note Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your use of ThankView is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy which can be found at:

Please keep in mind that we do not own or control the Analytics Tools. We use them in the manner allowed by the respective Analytics Tools company. In using them, we’re bound by their respective terms of use. If you have any questions about how these operate, or any issues related to their operation, please contact the Analytics Tool company directly. We will not be responsible under any circumstances for any problems, issues, damages, or liability related to the use, malfunction, misuse, or operation of these Analytics Tools.

Agents & Third Party Services

We may provide your Personal Information to our employees, contractors, agents, staff, service providers, and designees ("Agents") to enable them to perform certain services for us, including, but not limited to:

  • Payment processing;
  • Site-related services such as web hosting;
  • Improvement of Site-related services and features;
  • Maintenance services; or
  • Development of new services.

We haven’t built all of the features offered on ThankView from scratch. To run ThankView, we often utilize various third-party products (collectively “Third Party Services”), such as Stripe to process payments. By using our Services, you grant us permission to collect certain Personal Information, such as your name, email address, and any other information that either the Third Party Services make available to us or that is required in order to use the Third-Party Services. Please note that your use of these Third Party Services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We use and disclose any collected information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and only to the extent necessary to provide the Services. Just like with the Analytics Tools, we will not be responsible under any circumstances for any problems, issues, damages, or liability related to the use or operation of these Third-Party Services.

Online Tracking and How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals

Online tracking is the collection of data about an individual’s Internet activity used for purposes such as to deliver targeted advertisements. Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or similar feature that signals to websites that a visitor does not want to have his/her online activity and behavior tracked. If an online service elects to respond to a particular DNT signal, the service may refrain from collecting certain Personal Information about the browser’s user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option and there is currently no industry consensus as to what constitutes a DNT signal. For these reasons, many website operators, including ThankView, do not take action to respond to DNT signals. For more information about DNT signals, visit
