We absolutely love seeing the amazing creative videos our clients put together! Whether it’s an appeal, a thank you, or an update we’ve seen ThankView users pull out all the stops with their videos with incredible results.

Here are a few of our favorites!

Don’t afraid to throw some pop-culture references into your videos The College of the Holy Cross took information that could have been a few sentences in an email but instead, made them come to life.

Also goes to show, if you’ve access to some wicked cool effects, use ‘em!

 

#2 — Royal St. George’s College — Student Written, Produced and Acted

If you’re a school, college or university get your students involved in the creative process! Ask what they would like to show your donors and alumni, because most likely that will also be what your donors and alumni want to see.

 

#3 — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City- Why Tell, When You Can Show?

Chris and his Big Brother could have easily made a video telling recipients about the things they like to do, but instead, they filmed it!

You can tell they had fun making this short video, and as a result, it’s fun to watch!

 

#4 Pepperdine — Embrace the Cheese!

Pepperdine’s video starts off in black and white, but then pops with color! This is another great use of effects and personality! These are excited about the upcoming which makes us the viewer excited for it!

Don’t shy away from making your video goofy or crazy! The right amount of crazy makes for an amazing video!

 

#5 California State University Long Beach — Avery, The Detective Dog

Don’t think that humans can be the only stars of the show. CSU Long Beach highlighted a project on their campus and did so with this amazingly cute video.

Who doesn’t like cute animal videos?! Plus, Avery and her handler also did a follow-up ThankView campaign where she thanked everyone who gave.

How to follow their lead:

These videos have three things in common:

  • The video is short (30 seconds to 1 minute is the best range for your videos)
  • The video features people (or a dog!) directly impacted by a donors gift
  • The video shows instead of telling
