The ThankView Grant Program was created to provide our platform and services, free of charge for the next 6 months, to select nonprofits in need that are fighting this pandemic.

We are excited to announce the first wave of ThankView Grantees and wanted to give them a quick shout out for all of the amazing work that they do!

Sunshine Division (Free Food & Clothing Assistance)

Sunshine Division has existed for nearly 100 years. In partnership with the Portland Police Bureau, they provide emergency food and clothing relief to families and individuals in need. Currently, they’ve expanded their emergency food delivery program where anyone who is homebound, medically fragile, and/or unable to leave their home, due to COVID-19, can request a food box to be delivered to their door. Portland Police Bureau officers are now delivering 1,000 food boxes every week, for a minimum of the next 10 weeks to help meet the needs of their community.

This recent ThankView partner has already sent videos to their supporters who have significantly stepped up during this time of need.

St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic

St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic changes the lives of underserved Spartanburg County residents by providing quality and compassionate healthcare. With the burden COVID-19 has placed on the healthcare system, especially hospitals, the Clinic works to take the unnecessary burden off hospitals by continuing to provide quality care in managing and stabilizing chronic conditions and illnesses in uninsured community members.

The Clinic’s Nurse Practitioner is their only on-staff provider. All other providers, including physicians and medical directors, are volunteers. They plan to use Thankview to thank these volunteers, send video updates, and involve their volunteers, among others, in thanking their donors.

Mitzvah Circle

Mitzvah Circle supports individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness and serious illness. They serve those walking along life’s edge by providing individualized material support. In 2019, they helped over 47,000 individuals with material goods including 1.6 million diapers, 600,000 period supplies, and over 25,000 customized boxes of necessities.

They are working tirelessly to quickly adapt to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation as needs for their services have never been greater. Their model is flexible, allowing a seamless transition to providing resources through a network of hundreds of partner organizations and meeting new needs quickly as they arise.

YMCA of the Suncoast

With their facilities closed to members, YMCA of the Suncoast is shifting their focus to supporting the community with Relief Worker Care (child care for essential workers/first responders), feeding sites for the community, blood donation sites and virtual wellness programs for families, seniors, and essential workers. YMCA of the Suncoast’s Mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

They have pivoted to support their community and anticipate continuing to offer these new programs and services until the need is no longer there (which may be some months). At that time, YMCA of the Suncoast will continue to support the community where needed, along with their traditional programming.

Woodlawn Foundation

Woodlawn Foundation serves as a catalyst and facilitator for the transformation and revitalization of Woodlawn in Birmingham, Alabama, into a vibrant and sustainable community in which its residents have an opportunity to thrive. They are currently addressing food insecurity in their community of 5,000+ residents since the school system is currently unable to provide meals to the district’s children. They are also caring for their communities more senior residents who cannot easily access food resources.

Last week, they were able to underwrite 1,150 hot meals for youth and senior residents. They hope to lead the effort to continue this important role over the next months as needed.

Empact Northwest

Empact Northwest is a nonprofit providing immediate disaster response, rescue training, and community preparedness assistance for underserved communities. Their local response to COVID-19 in the Puget Sound, WA area is underway and involves training and dispatching volunteers for wellness checks and grocery deliveries for local residents. Additionally, Empact is deploying medical personnel to assist at local testing sites, and coordinating donations of PPE while managing their distribution to facilities in need in Kitsap County, WA.

The team is planning to use ThankView in their creative fundraising strategy. They’ve raised $3,700 so far on our Give Lively campaign out of the $25k goal and are actively seeking COVID grant funding to both sustain their organization and expand their local COVID-19 response.

Mobile Medical Care (MobileMed)

MobileMed’s mission is to improve the health of low-income people who face the greatest barriers to care access. They work with homeless and low-income adults and seniors in Montgomery County, MD.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are assisting the most vulnerable residents in Montgomery County with their healthcare needs. This has included enhancing their advice line, staffed by volunteer physicians and adding telehealth as another option of care.

They are actively working to serve their community during this unprecedented time. MobileMed is seeking to further mobilize the community in their response to COVID-19, including the development of a special fundraising campaign. They also want to share their appreciation for the volunteers and donors who make this work possible.

St Petersburg Free Clinic

St. Petersburg Free Clinic envisions a community where all of its members can meet life’s basic needs of food, shelter, and access to health care. The organization began as a single walk-in medical facility that provided basic health care services to those without health insurance and those without the means to provide adequate health care for themselves and their families. They currently operate the largest food bank in Pinellas County, Florida, distributing 11.3 million pounds of food through 65 partner agencies to food-insecure residents. They provide 900 “Pack A Sack” meals per week for school children who often go without food from Friday afternoon until breakfast at school on Monday. Additionally, they provide senior citizens with “Hearty Homes” meal packs that supplement their monthly food budget. Last year, St. Petersburg Free Clinic provided 71,252 people with emergency food through their client choice food pantry.

They are committed to serving neighbors in need in Pinellas County, Florida, and seek innovative and strategic concepts and ideas to enhance their storytelling with ThankView.
